Can't Scan From Machine
My scanner works fine fom my computer but when I want to scan through the machine itself to get OCR, it tells me to check connection.

Obviously, your printer is telling you to check the connection. This means that you need to check the cable that connects to and from your Brother MFC-J435W printer device. These are the cables that you need to check.
- USB Data Cable
- Power Cable
Make sure that these 2 cables are properly setup and not loose. You can read the manual here for more information on how you can properly setup your device.
