Mfc 8500 Printer Won't Work With 2013 Imac

I hook up my printer via USB to my iMac, the computer recognized it and set it up, but it will not print. I have tried everything. I coneected my printer to my HP laptop and it worked fine. So something is not reading the printer on the iMac. Any suggestions?

I believe that the only thing that you have not done yet is installing the driver software for your Brother MFC 8500. Remember that without the driver software for this device, you cannot use it on any computer. The driver software varies based on the type of your Operating System. You can download the driver software here:
