Ocasional Problem With Back Stitching (reverse Lock Sticking) Brother W/f
I am a new user of a Brother LS2-B837 W/foot machine. I have spent a couple of days, repairing/adjusting the top tension, adjusting bobbin tension. The machine now stitches both heavy and PVC covered fabrics, (Boat cover fabric) and ajusts nicely to light (Duvet) quilted fabric. I have only used V92 Heavy duty thread on all materials, (All I have at the moment), using a no.18 needle. I am having ocassional problems (20%?) when using the back stitch bar facility. At the start of sewing, when using this facility, the top thread sometimes loops and knots in the bobbin area. It would appear that the top thread maybe looping around the bobbin twice and this may be causing the problem. Not having a users manual, (I have the parts manual), I have no way of knowing if the timing is slightly out. Full details on timing, to be able to understand the design of this may help me work out how to understand how one advances, or retards the timing (Fine tuning). I have no idea! Your help, advice, and or tips would be most welcome. I wouldalso welcome advice on needle sizing and thread choice with different materials, or where to find this information, please?
