Can You Drop The Feed Dog To Quilt?

I wouldn't have brought this machine had I known I couldn't droop the feed dog.

I couldn't find instructions on how to lower/drop the feed dogs, but I did see an instruction page for using the "quilting" foot and it said to cover the feed dogs with the darning plate that comes with your machine. I did that and so far am able to use my free motion quilting foot. Hope this is helpful!
