Hl-2280dw Driver Fail For Osx 10.8.2
The drivers I installed from your page:

Do not actually allow me to access my printer (print material). I completed the network setup and the printer is shown on my network (wireless). When I tried to use the install disk Brother provided with the printer, I received an error message that said my OS is not supported... that's what drove me to your downloads page.
When I print, my OS tells me that there is a driver available from Apple. When I let my computer look for a driver there it kicks me back a message that says the driver is not available from their server. Still no printing.
I went through the procedures to add a printer (manually despite the printer showing in my available network printers) and it kicks me to the Apple driver for the HL2280DW - endless loop there.
One note - after installing the updates, the BRW0000 identifier that notes my brother printer on my network is alone. There is not an option to select or add BRW00000 + CUPS (even though I downloaded and setup that driver from your page).
Any help that will get this printer working is greatly appreciated. Nice clean looking paperweight, but my office doesn't have room for more art-deco pieces at the moment... I need functionality.

Just in case someone else pings on this question by googling... and noticed there isn't any helpful information in the trouble-shooting areas. I fixed this myself.. Ok, the guys at MacUpdate helped.
If you've installed all of the drivers and updates successfully (as I did on both of my MacBook Pros today) and your computer (or computers) fails to pop the ID with CUPS after it when trying to add the printer, you can often ctl-click in the add window, hit reset printers, power the Brother down, then back up, and voila!!! work the add function again through System Preferences and it will be there. Like magic... and in only a couple minutes instead of the four hours I spent trying to figure out why one of my MacBooks locked and the other objected (near mirrored systems - certainly mirrored settings).
Good thing my wife was home... I was about to check out how well OfficeMax replacement warranty worked A La, dragging it behind the truck all the way there.

Try downloading and installing the following driver software:
Download the driver software and install it into your computer system. This driver is compatible with Mac OS X (10.8).
