Please find the details below.
Average sewing machine uses about 75 watts per hour. Let's assume you are working for 3 hours a day, 30 days a month, you'd use 6.75 kilowatt-hours of electricity -- that would be running constantly for 3 hours a day, no breaks. Average US price of electricity is about 12.5 cents per kilowatt-hour, or just under 85 cents a month for a sewing machine in use 3 hours a day. says that the price of electricity in India is fairly variable, but let's take the worst case and say 7 rupees per kilowatt-hour, so that means an increase of about 47.25 rupees per month. If you look on the electrical plate for your machine, it will probably say something about watts or amps. Watts = volts x amps Voltage in India is 220 v, so to find the wattage for your particular machine, if it's not given on the nameplate, multiply the amps on the nameplate by 220. That will give you the watts per hour power consumption. Multiply watts per hour by the number of hours per month the machine is used. Divide by 1000 to get kilowatt-hours, the unit of pricing for electricity. Multiply the kilowatt-hours by the cost per kilowatt-hour for electricity and you'll know how much you'll pay extra per month.
Note:
Power in Watt = Voltage(Volt) * Current (Ampere), Voltage is mostly constant in India and is about 220V
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
