Bobbin Case Is Slipping. Ideas On Cause?

Bobbin case is slipping, which I believe is causing needles to break. I can place it properly but after sewing for a bit, it slips. The roation causes a block and the needle breaks. Any ideas on a cause?

I have been experiencing the same problem for the last month or so.  My engineer husband helped me check into the issue, and we discovered that the projection n the bobbin was not properly catching against the spring, which is supposed to hold the bobbin in position.  We are not sure yet if it is because my projection is worn down, or because the spring is loose.  The bobbin case, which includes the projection, can be replaced for around $30.  I haven't been able to find any info on replacing or repairing the spring, so hopefully the case is where the problem lies!
