How To Block A Number On An Iden I856 Phone

So I've read that one has to add a number to contacts to be able to block it. Done. I also read to go to 'profiles', select standard ( or one in use),go to filter, edit 'phone calls', to: some contacts. Did that too. The problem is I can't find any way to 'choose' which contacts. It seems to be a random choice. Sigh...
