Black And Decker Lithium Drill Ldx172 Wont Charge
Won't charge when I plug it in. Any thoughts before I do surgery on it?

If the the charger lights up then your battery has failed.

If it is new, the problem is likely an assembly problem. Some went out with the internal male charging plug recessed in too far. They don't reach. Take out two screws holding the chuck assy. and all the side screws. Lift out the male plug assy. and repossition it closer to the opening for the female plug. It fits nicely in either location. Was just assembled wrong.
