To replace the belt on the Powergroom Pet Compact, first unplug the unit and remove the brush cover plate by unscrewing the 5 screws holding it in. Pull the brush out and replace with an authentic BISSELL belt found at this link http://www.bissell.com/parts/?sc=part&productid=8899&partid=9762&cid=ccsocial
