Non-retracting Power Cord

The power cord does not retract. I tried gingerly pulling it out in the hope that the retraction devices would catch and pull it back in. No dice. Can't feed it back in either. Have hit the red band. Help!

Hey, make sure the power cord isn't wound or twisted unevenly. Gently pull the cord all the way out until it stops, untwist the cord if needed, and retract the cord back into the vacuum.

If the cord still does not retract, you may want to have one of BISSELL's Authorized Service Centers inspect your vacuum.

Here's a quick link to locating one in your area.
