D1708 Trouble

My monitor & DVD player has sound but the screen is gray can't see the picture.

  • Check that the A/V IN/OUT Switch on the side of the player is set to the OUT position.
  • Check the small switch near the hinge at the back of the unit, if one is installed there. It turns off the LCD screen when the panel is closed. This switch sometimes sticks in the down position and the screen remains off. When the screen is opened, the switch is supposed to pop up. If it is still in the down position, try to free it with the ends of a toothpick or paper clip.
  • If both switches are correctly set and the screen remains blank, the unit should be sent to Audiovox for service. Please use one of the methods below to contact Customer Support.
