How can I clear off all songs & videos off of this used Ipod that I purchased for my son?

Open the iPod management screen by clicking its icon on the left side of the iTunes window.
Click on the tab labeled "Summary."
Look for the button labeled "Restore" beneath the "Check for Update" button. Once you've found it, click on it.
Click on "Yes" when iTunes asks you if you're sure you want to restore the iPod.
