Screen Freezes

When I log on to AOL I have trouble with my screen freezing for anywhere from 15 to 60 seconds. During this time I have no controll over the mouse or anything else. It will clear up for awhile and suddenly it does it again for another 30 seconds to a minute or more.If you are not the correct person to talk to please advise who I need for help...Thanks
