Some Aol 9.6 Favorites Lists I Can't Access Now?

Hi All, I had to do a full reformat and install of windows xp home with service packs 1 to 3, Plus AVG Free 2012 etc. All because of a virus attack that even avg just stopped! But I needed to reformat to be able to clear out all bugs etc.? So I reformatted and install xp home with all the extra stuff, And of course AOL 9.6 desktop internet as a fresh copy but with the setting of a n existing member so it loaded all my Emails and favorites etc. All flash and java and the other support apps and media are upto date too! Now the big problem is after only a week of using it ok I found I was unable to access about quarter of my top favorites web site lists? Incluing ebay.co.uk, in this one's case I could load the main wecome screen of it and even look through the list on ebay but if I tried to sign in, It would put up the same error message I get with the other quarter of the favorites list it will not access? "error can't find website address" I tried all I can to fix it, I done a windows xp cd based repair mode which run for about 30mins using the cd and the internet at microsoft site to repair or replace the damaged dll's etc.? I changed the settings in aol and IE8 to let it use all cookies even third part ones and set the security levels to low to medium on both, and even gone into IE8 and set up the sites it will not access as trusted sites in the box there? Still no luck accessing those quarter favorite sites? Then I un -installed aol 9.6 and installed aol 9.7 thinking it would solve the problem?   It did not. So I un-installed that and reinstalled aol 9.6 because this was the one I used ok before the reformatting? Still the same problems?
