Acer Travelmate 4000 Will Not Log In

Please, in the future, leave a lot more detail about your issue.
I'm going to assume that you cannot log into the laptop. If you mean to an account on the Internet or something similar you'll need to leave another posting.
If you have forgotten your password or it's not working there are a few options. Windows has no built-in password recovery feature. In most cases the administrator account will have been disabled.
If you have another logon available I would use that to get in and fix your broken logon. Assuming the other logon has adminstrator rights you can reset your other password.
Beyond that your options are to have atech reset the password for you. It's a scary simple thing to do.
Do you have another PC you can use? If so go here:http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
Download the password recovery tool and burn it to a CD. Boot the laptop from the new CD. Follow the instructions. You can reset any and all passwords on the laptop and/or unlock any disabled user acounts. This is the same thing a tech will do. If you can do it yourself it will save you the cost of a service call.
Otherwise, best have a tech look at it. Good luck.
