Is My Laptop Fixable?

my computer is asking for a boot disk but has no disk drive? it wont turn off by the power button. it also wont go to the settings it is stuck in the loading page with the typing. it states: intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 082) Copyright (C) 1997-200 Intel Corporation for Atheros PICE ethernet controller v2.0.0.9(05/08/09) check cable connection! PXE- MOF: exiting intel PXE ROM. No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

The Windows boot loader has failed either due to corruption or a failed hard disk.The systyem is attempting a network boot.

Pull the battery out and the power cord. Wait a minute then plug both back in.

As soon as you hear the BEEP during bootup start smacking the F8 key.

"IF" the menu comes up select last known good and see if it boots. Also try safe mode.

If this does not work you'll need a USB CD drive to reload Windows and very likely a new hard disk.
