How To Remove The Cdrom?
Hi,
how can i remove and replace a new cd rom for acer m7720?

You have to take the front panel off you do that by first shutting down your computer and unplugging it,then you would remove the left side panel to access the interior of your system. There are small plastic tabs on the top and bottom that you have to release in order to remove the front panel I usually use needle nose pliers to get the tabs to release (compress tabs and push toward the front of the unit) the front panel should lift on one side after disconnecting all of the wires that maybe connected from the back side it should lift out giving you access to the front of your optical drive. to remove the drive disconnect all cable connections move the sliding drive lock towards the back of the unit( its usually a green plastic peice on the outside of drive(s) frame rails) your drive should slide out, just do it all in reverse to install your new drive. There is a service guide here on this site that has more detailed instructions if you need them.This just from previous experiences i have had with acer product's brought in to my shop for repairs your particular model may be different. So check your service guide to be sure and good luck with it.
