Bluetooth Problem

If you have just purchased a Bluetooth adapter for your Acer Aspire, then you will need to install software for this adapter to work with your machine. Take the CD that was bundled with the adapter and then plug in your Bluetooth adapter so that the program can recognize the adapter. If you have already installed the software, but it is not responding to the adapter, you may need to reinstall the software in order to get the adapter to work.

If you have re-installed the software, but your device still isn't working, the problem might be that the device is not synced properly with the adapter. Use the Bluetooth adapter you already installed to put your adapter into discovery mode, which will allow it to find the Bluetooth device you are trying to locate. Then put the device into "sync" mode, which will allow it to be found by the adapter. Once the two devices find each other, a link will be formed. The device and the adapter will need to exchange information, and then they should be ready to use.

If your Bluetooth device still isn't working, the problem might lie with the computer instead of the Bluetooth network components. If the computer is running slowly or experiences frequent freezing, this may be what is inhibiting the Bluetooth adapter from forming a link with the device. Try shutting down your computer and then trying the connection again.
