How To Get Touchpad Working Acer Aspire 4851

When the touch pad stops working it's one of three things.

1- A driver glitch, unistall the touch pad drivers from the device manager, then reboot. The machine will find the touch pad and reinstall the drivers automatically.

2- The touch pad connector has worked loose. Take the palm rest with the touch pad off, disconnect the cable, clean the connectors, and reseat the cable firmly.

3- the touch pad has failed and will need to be replaced. The driver glitch is the most common, I believe that it should take care of the problem.
