As far as I know you cannot reset the battery. If it has failed it must be replaced.
The service manual is here: http://support.acer.com/acerpanam/Manuals/acer/2009/ServiceGuides/SG_Aspire_5732Z_5332_10192009.pdf but it doesnt say anything about this either.
