Hi i want to run the game Minecraft on my Acer, but it just lags, i was going to get a better graphics card but doesnt look like you do them, also i was going to get more ram but i don't think it will do much anyway for game purposes.

Okay well 1st, it would have been helpfull to actually have your pc specifications. Well seeing as we don't try these soloutions that i know about.

Turn down your render view to normal/short
Press Ctrl+alt+del - Go to processes - Click on "Memeory Usage" tab untill you have the highest usage at the top - Close all the things that are not really usefull to be able to run the pc.
If you have any mods remove them all and re-install Minecraft.
Lower all of the graphics till it stops (Or until it stops)
Try running in a smaller window.
