Worst Washer Ever
This machine eats clothes, not dirt. It takes an absolute eternity (2 hours) to wash clothes, and usually they are covered in rubber crumble. The washer throws clothes forward, but the inward door design was supposed to push the clothes to the back, but all it does is trap socks and small items in the gasket. The first time the gasket failed (month 6) they replaced it, and elevated the front of the washer to have it tilt to the back. Of course it didn't work and we have now replaced the gasket 3 times and have just had to call for the 4th. When you have the final spin there is still quite a bit of soap suds in the drum and on the door so when the spin finally stops the front clothes are still covered in suds. The only thing that is good is that you can run a cleaner wash which we do once a week instead of monthly. You need this to clear all the rubber crumble out of the washer so it doesn't get on the next load. But we have been assured that the washer has now been redesigned, but who can afford a new washer 3 years after buying one. Of course we are hoping to make a claim under the lemon law. fingers crossed.chilicamibuffy.... February 17th, 2013
Washer does not get clothes clean
Had this washer for almost 3 years. I had to have the HE front load washer because it was the new type...did not know thatalthough it uses less water, your clothes will come out almost as dirty as when you put them in. Underarms still smell of body odor, under garments not clean. Overall this wasaher does not use enough water, detergent and agitation to effectively clean a load of clothes. Nor does it rinse the soap out of the clothing. When you look through the window on the spin cycle there is soap visible. The HE detergent amounts used are less than the recommended amounts to try to remedy the soap left in the clothing. All loads must be rinsed 2 times not sure this saves energy/water usage. Which is the goal of HE washers. My family has experienced allergic reactions from the soap residue left in the clothing and bedding that was washed in this machine.Smithrogles.... July 6th, 2012
Front Load Whirlpool Wash model#WFW9050XW00, leaks, destroys my clothes
This washer is not worth the money. I owned mine for about 10 months, until it started leaking water down the front from the detergent dispenser, i called a repair man and her came and replaced it. Then the washer started making loud grinding noises from the drum, repair man told me to do smaller loads. The door gasket will catch my clothes during spin cycle and tear's holes, and this is not covered under the warranty that I purchased. I will never own another one, or reccomend to anyone else.Bbbrooks.... July 16th, 2011
