After the device icon disappears from the desktop, you may hear the drive power down properly, and you can safely disconnect the USB interface cable from your system tray and select Safely Remove Hardware. TURNING OFF/DISCONNECTING THE DEVICE - 6 The drive is now shut down before the Power LED turns off. You may disconnect the drive safely. Macintosh Drag the My Passport icon to the Trash icon for proper dismount.
