HD Radio™ Portable Player with Armband RBDS mode RBDS (Radio Broadcast Data System) mode provides additional functionality to FM radio reception by an RBDS receiver and can provide a range of informational features including the station's name. The RBDS text is decoded by transmitting encoded analog information with the FM radio signal.
