3. You may need a cross-head/Phillips screwdriver to the PCI slot you had selected. See the image below for your computer's main circuit board. Locate a free PCI slot. Remove the metal plate that covers the rear slot corresponding to remove any screws.

Handle it by the metal bracket only, and do not touch the gold edge connectors. Make sure that the gold fingers are fully inserted into the PCI slot, carefully aligning the rear bracket to the computer case. Insert the card into the slot.

As Windows 98 SE OS starts, the "New Hardware Wizard" will launch and recognize the IEEE 1394 PCI card as a "Texas Instruments OHCI compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller". Click "Next".
