Make sure not to pry the two halves of the transmitter apart. With the transmitter buttons facing down, use a thin coin to damage the rubber gasket during removal. Separating Transmitter Halves NOTE: Perchlorate Material - special handling may apply. See www.dtsc.ca.gov/hazardouswaste/ perchlorate NOTE: Do not touch the battery terminals that are on the back housing or the printed circuit board. 1. 26 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE Transmitter Battery Service The recommended replacement battery is one CR2032 battery.

Remove and replace the batteries. Skin oils may cause battery deterioration. Make sure there is an even "gap" between the two halves. If you touch a battery, clean it with your fingers.
