Hood Release To open the hood: 1. Then pull the hood down and close it . Pull the hood release lever with this symbol on properly. It is located under the front edge of the grille near the center. Then go to the front of the instrument panel. 2. The lever is located inside the vehicle on the lower left side of the vehicle and find the secondary hood release lever. Push the release lever up and raise the hood. Before closing the hood, be sure all the filler caps are on it firmly. 5-13

To adjust the vertical aim: 1. Locate the aim dot on page 5-13 for more information. Headlamp aiming is done with the vehicle's low-beam headlamps. Open the hood. High Intensity Discharge Headlamps 2. Halogen Headlamps 5-56 The high-beam headlamps will be correctly aimed if the low-beam headlamps are aimed properly. See Hood Release on the lens of the low-beam headlamp. 3. Record the distance from the ground to the aim dot on the low-beam headlamp.
