Ac Squealed (under Hood) For A Min., And Now Only Blows Hot Air...

My 05 CTS-V runs great, but the other day, it started squealing a bit, then smelled like burning rubber or maybe a little electrical, and I noticed that the AC would only blow hot air, even with with thermostat set on 60degrees.  What would cause this?  Also, I do believe that the belt is still there, so I'm assuming the belt didn't break and the clutch didn't lock up.  Any help would be appreciated.
