Lift and remove the cover. Open the box and then twist the wing bolt a quarterturn counterclockwise. Remove the jack and wheel wrench. 5-23 Remove the spare tire from the floor of the trunk. Turn the center retainer bolt on the passenger's side trunk wall. See "Compact Spare Tire" later in the trunk. Pull the carpeting from the trunk.
