Emachine Power Supply Replaced, Now No Video

My son has an Emachine ET1831-03 - purchased new two years ago from Best Buy.  Two days ago he powered off and when he tried to turn back on yesterday, got nothing.  Went to Best Buy and purchased a new power supply (better) and installed.  Now he has power working, but no Video.  POST beeps are 1 Long + 1 Short + 1 Long + 1 Short then 20 second delay and a short beep.   The cycle of 20 second and short beep continues.  Should he purchase a video adapter to replace the onboard connection or is the entire motherboard in need of replacement?
