Emachines Et1831 Not Recognising My Hotspot Connection From My Ipad? Please Help

I recently had my Emachines PC ET1831 fixed and now when I plug in my iPad which I use as a wireless device by turning the hotspot on is not working and I even though it is recognising my iPad it won't show it as an option to connect to the Internet. Can you please tell me how I can fix this problem. It says the cable is not installed or broken but it is not?
