I Have An Old Yamaha Ypp-50 That I Want To Work On Midi

I have a Yamaha YPP-50 piano and it has a MIDI 5 pin in and out. I have an interface that is 2 x 5 pins to USB. I have an apple mac book pro with logic. logic will not see the piano. Any ideas or will it never work?? Please help i dont want to waste this nice keyboard..
