Yamaha Cd-c600 - Doesn't Play The Cds - Displays 'unsupport'

We tried to play music with the newly bought CD player Yamaha CD-C600. After closing the disk table with 1 - 5 disks (label up),the display shows "loading" and after a few seconds the display shows "UNSUPPORT".(The used CDs are legaly bought, not dirty and can be played with each other CD player). What does it mean and what must we do to play the music?
