How To Plug Two Monitors On Stage To The Mixer 01v96 And Setup Effects.

Hello Folks! I'm pretty new to the digital console world and I've been recently asked to help a band with their concerts. They've recently bought a Yamaha 01v96 and nobody seems to know how it works. I went through the doc and a couple of YouTube videos, but I can't figure out a couple of things:How do you connect monitors from the stage using xlr connectors? Is there a quick way to configure a simple delay and a reverb effect on this console? Many thanks in advance for your appreciated help.

Hi there, thank you for posting your query to Helpowl. I would be happy if my answer solves your problem.

The XLR is a balanced connection (two "push-pull" signal wires plus a ground). But, with the appropriate adapter, you can connect unbalanced (computer or "RCA") signals.

If you know how to solder, this page has all of the information about mixing & matching balanced & unbalanced connections. There are "more expert" ways of converting between balanced & unbalanced connections involving transformers or active adapter boxes.
