How To Reset The Washing Machine. It Is Locked And I Cannot Open The Door

Hi. If there is still available water in the washer, then it will not unlock and until it is done draining (it may be having draining issues like clogged water pump filter if it is taking longer than usual). On the other hand [where water is not present], it may be that the door lock may have failed and might need to be replaced, but do see if it resets by just manually unlocking the door. To manually unlock the door, remove the 3 screws along the bottom of the lower front panel. The panel will then pull straight down and off. Once you remove this panel you can reach up behind the upper front panel and pull down on the small plastic pull tab attached to the bottom of the door lock assembly. This will manually unlock the door so you can open the door. If the problem continues or the washer won't start another cycle, replace the door latch assembly.
