Dishwasher Shuts Off In Mid Cycle

The dishwasher I have is a Whirlpool wdf530plybo. My girlfriend says that it shuts off mid cycle. then after a minute or two, all the lights on the door bilnk.  can push start again but washer stops again. The washer has it's own circuit and is not tripping the breaker.  What is wrong?
