Installatgion Of Side Mount Kit

In order to install the side mount kit, it is necessary to recess the face of the tub atleast 3/8" beyhond the cabitet opening so that you can afix the bracket to the cabinet?Typically though you would want the leading edge of the tub to be flush with the edge of the cabinet.
