I Need Firmware Ond Or Drive For Wd5000avds
I have pulled a hard drive out of a segate DVR it works great i just would like to use it as a external hard drive. But for some reason i cant get my computer to read it. It is a Western digital WD5000AVDS. now i did get my dell to read it but my laptop will not and i have dam near tried everything i would apriciate the help please. Im shure being fairly new to the computer building im just not doing somthing right.

Updating the firmware on your My Cloud EX2
- visit https://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?g=906 insert product name,Download the firmware to your desktop.
- Unzip the file and you will find the actual firmware in this format
- Save this to your desktop.
- Open the Dashboard UI.
- Go to Settings >> Firmware Update.
- Under the section Manual Update, click the Update From File button and a window will open.
- Browse to where you saved the My_Cloud_KC2A_2.xx.xx.bin file and select it.
- You will see a pop up confirming to upgrade your firmware, click Ok.
