Wd2500aajs - Caviar 250 Gb Hard Drive Not Detected
Last night i have normally shut down the PC after finish my work. But this morning i'm shocked to to see the Drive is not detected not even in the Bios. Have no idea what could be the reason for this sudden incident. Have installed the HD in another running pc on the avail sata and power port, also didnt work. But if i connect another Hard drive or DVD drive in same ports of this second PC would detected and running fine.So the senario, finally i've concluded nthing wrong with the SATA Ports/Cables, Power Ports in Original PC as the HD is not detected in 2nd Running PC too.Have tried with:1. Bios reset to default.2. Connected with all available SATA ports and the Power port to the HD3. Changed SATA cableHave not tried:1. havent tried connecting the Drive with USB connector as i don't have the external USB HD casing.Any body help please, how could i get detected my HD again.

Hi You've done great job troubleshooting the drive, but most likely it's dead having in mind that it's not detected in two different systems.
At this point it will be best to look for a replacement unit, or contact a data recovery company if there's important information you want to retrieve. Here's a link with few WD data recovery partners if you decide to take a look:
