Vizio 32 Inch Hdtv

I just came into a vizio 32 inch hdtv it is a very nice televison. The problem is when i plug it in the vizio light is orange and once i turn it on the logo goes on white but the screen does not turn on. Could there be anything be wrong with the mainboard? I want to repair i dont want to throw it out? What can i do?

normally f you can turn it on and then back off then the majority of the "main" board is working. especially if you can maneuver it to a channel and have sound.

the thing you need to find out is if there is a picture and no back lights. in a very dark room turn it on and watch for a slight glow There is three things you can see; 1) stays dark constantly(take a flashlight and point it into the screen to see if there is video present), 2) glows slightly (just no video) and 3) glows for a second or two then goes black.

you should find this info out and post another question for what the problem is likely with full symptoms.
