1st off take all of the batteries out of the remote. Once you've done that go ahead and press every button, singley until every button has been pressed. This is called a power cycle which removed the residual energy within the remote. Once you've done that go ahead and correctly place the batteries back  in the remote to see if this resolved the issue. As long as the batteries are new that should fix it. You also might want to make sure that there is nothing blocking the remote signal from the remote itself and on the sound bar. Try this and in the end if you are still not getting any luck with this contact VIZIO directly and explain the troubleshooting you've done and get their fax or email so you can send proof of purchase and they will create an accessory order for your new remote.
