Vo420e Hd Tv Will Not Turn On

We have a Vizio HD TV model # VO420E. The orange power light is on but the TV will not turn on. We had recent power surges due to electrical storms but the TV is plugged into a power surge strip. Can you tell me what could be the problem?

surge protectors work to a degree, but not always. The expensive ones comes with an insurance policy to repair or replace anything attached to it when a surge happens.

Your TV might have a power supply problem (usually it has no indicators lit if it's bad) or the main board. As you can see there are many different part numbers available for this model series, you must confirm the correct part number by looking at the labels on your original boards.
