Download the firmware update for your Vizio blu-ray player from the Vizio Support website.
Plug your FAT32-formatted flash drive into an available USB port on your computer. Click on "My Computer" and click on your flash drive, which will be named "Removable Disk." Create a folder named "UPG."
Copy the .DSO file you downloaded from the Vizio Support website into the "UPG" folder on your flash drive.
Turn your Vizio Blu-ray player on and make sure there is no disc in the player. Plug your flash drive into the back of your Vizio Blu-ray player. Navigate to the home screen display on your player.
Select "System," "Upgrade Firmware" and "USB Storage." Press "OK" to confirm your device and start your firmware installation. Once complete, restart your Vizio Blu-ray player, insert a disc and play a video to ensure everything is functioning properly.
