The power button on the monitor wouldn't respond when I tried to follow the steps below to turn it off, so I pulled the power plug and tried again, but nothing happened. Please assist!

* Turn off the monitor while maintaining pressure on the plus and menu buttons

* Press the power button while keeping the other two in place. Release all the buttons after the DVI connector graphic has vanished, then press the minus button. The service menu should appear. Using the minus button, scroll down to Burnin Mode. Pressing the Menu button will activate that setting. Pressing the minus button will change it to off (it should be blue when selected).

* Select Menu from the menu. I recently connected the computer again after it had been unplugged for more than six months (we split up and had to move out). The computer appears to boot up successfully, but my screen is blank. Recently, a blue box with the text "BURN IN MODE" appeared. I am unable to get rid of it and I am unable to use my computer.
