Having access to a BIOS jumper on a desktop can be useful. If you need to restore the BIOS to its default settings or if you've made a mistake with your overclocking. The same might be true for your laptop. The BIOS jumper will come in handy if you have a black screen problem or need to reset your BIOS to defaults in order to boot up. The BIOS jumper on your Toshiba laptop can be found using this technique.

1. Shut down your computer.

2. Unplug all of your laptop's cables and connections.

7. There should be a sticker underneath the bottom-most ram slot.

8. Look around the stickerered area for what is labeled in fine print as JCMOS.

9. You'll need a heat gun if you can't find it around the stickered area.

10. Using a heat gun, gently heat the sticker and peel it off.

11. Look for a JCMOS labeling underneath it.

We're talking about JCMOS because it's the Jumper for the CMOS, as the term suggests.

12. Either two contact points with bare soldering or a bare PCB area (with a copper/bronze'ish
