Reset

i have had this laptop for, maybe a week, and i love it, but being my first laptop, i downloaded a ton of unusable stuff, and i have nothing to loose, so i would like to know how to factory rest the laptop.

Most manufacturers include a CD or DVD with the factory installation version of the software. Just insert it and follow the instructions. You'll lose all your work/pictures/changes though. Some manufacturers store the default settings on a hidden part of the hard disk - there should be some sort of option available when you boot up.  Check your user manual.
