Toshiba Dvd Player ...........

My dvd player has 'all of a sudden' lost its highlighter (the yellow that shows up to show where your pointer is on the menu and chapter screens)!!! How do I get that back?? I have no idea where my 'pointer' is when I am trying to start a movie!
