Error Code 6

I am in the habit of recording in 4-6 hr blocks. The dvd states it has 8 hrs. of recording. In the middle of my recording Error Code E6 "can't record on this disk" but it did record part of the time. I've used the same blank disks for some time. Any idea what's causing this issue.

However if you are recording onto the same dvd r for multiple times it may be that you have reached the capacity for the dvd. Try recording with a new DVD to see if the problem resolves itself. The directory area of the DVD may have limited space left for recording directory data.
