Dubbing From Vcr To Dvd

the icon DB shows for a few seconds only, nothing is appearing on the dvd.

This is what works for me; it should work for you. too.

Turn on the unit
Insert a VHS
Insert a DVD+R
Using the remote, press VCR
Using the remote, press PLAY, and then press PAUSE, stopping the tape where you want to start recording
Using the remote, press DVD
Using the remote, press DUBBING. The VHS will start to play, and the DVD will start to record.

Some (not all) VHS tapes have a copy protect feature, and after a few seconds of recording, you'll get an error message. It's VERY obvious when that happens, and it doesn't sound like your current problem.

Let me know if that doesn't work, and I'll see if I can re-create your problem, and find a solution.
